Litchfield CUSD#12 has a variety of district building projects. Two are approaching completion and one is just getting underway.
Litchfield Elementary School Grades (2-5)
Litchfield Elementary School on State Street is nearing completion at the time this is being written. The building will officially be completed at the July 2023 Board of Education meeting. School for students in grades 2-5 will start in this building early August of 2023. An open house for this building will be announced soon.
South Central Innovation Center
The SCI Center is nearing completion as well. This building is located just to the south of the Lincoln Land Campus in Litchfield and will offer a variety of programs including but not limited to construction trades, automotive, welding and other programs being added as future needs and interests arise. Planned completion of this project is August 1, 2023 with classes starting in this building for the 2023/2024 school year. Students from Litchfield and surrounding school districts will have an opportunity to attend classes in this exciting new facility.
Future Early Childhood Center (Grades Pre K -1)
Construction has begun at the old Colt School site for the future Early Childhood Center. This site will host grades Pre K through 1st with additional classrooms and modern storm shelter being incorporated into the new structure. This site is projected to be completed in late June of 2024 with students in attendance for the 2024-2025 school year.
