Reminder, Litchfield CUSD #12 has NO SCHOOL on Friday October 6 for teacher institute and Monday, October 9th for the Columubus/Indigenous Peoples' day. School resumes Tuesday, October 10 at the usual time.

Reminder -Early dismissal today for LCUSD#12 for School Improvment. Elementary @ 11:15. LMS/LHS @11:30 - no PM Pre K. K-12 students will receive a take home lunch. School resumes tomorrow @ normal time.

Correction - the early dismissal is on Wednesday the 27th (this week). Hopefully this didn't cause too much confusion.

Rooms (parent teacher communication tool) launches this morning. If you have provided up to date email and text message addresses to us AND have opted in for messages, you will recieve your invitation this morning. If you signed up already for ROOMS from the "magic code" provided by your chld's teacher, you should see that class in your Litchfield app once invitations are sent out this morning. We appreciate your patience.

Important Info: We are currently having trouble with our district phone system. We are working to remedy it and will put out another notice when issues are resolved. District secretaries will be monitoring email for important communications OR stop by the appropriate school office if you have an immediate need. We will send another notice when these issues are resolved.

LES Families, Today was a FANTASTIC first day of school. Thank you all for your help, support, and patience. Things went smooth today but we know we can get even better in the coming days with some of our procedures. Here is some important information pertaining to dismissal. Cars are not allowed to be lined up for dismissal prior to 15 minutes before the end of the school day. Cars may start lining up at 2:30 pm in the circle drive of LES. If you are lined up prior to that time, you will be asked to move your vehicle. Families wishing to walk up to the front door to pick up their child are welcome to do so. We just ask that you please stay to the north side of the building so as not to cause congestion with the students coming out to get in to their cars. We will put up a sign to clearly identify this location for families to wait. Lastly, to make car pick up go quicker, we ask that you please have your car sign placed in your front window of the passenger side of your car. This will help us to quickly identify who you are here to pick up and get them out to you in a timely manner. If you do not have a sign or lost your sign, please contact the school office. Again, we thank all of your for your support and understanding. We hope you all have a great weekend and we look forward to seeing all of the students on Monday morning!
