On Tuesday February 1st Earl Flack, President & CEO of McKay/NAPA Auto Parts of Litchfield, IL and Litchfield C.U.S.D. #12 co-hosted a meeting of several regional auto industry dealerships to discuss strategies for growing a sustainable pipeline of auto technicians.
Strategies discussed included conversations around creating a speaker's bureau of technicians for auto technician classes, job shadowing with the respective dealerships, and potential summer internships.
Twenty participants either attended the meeting in person or virtually.
