Thursday January 30th five classes of 6th grade students participated in the “iDream” U of I Extension career exploration lesson entitled “Be the Dream Catcher!” Retired Litchfield educator Nancy Johns facilitated a lesson that encouraged students to explore personal affirmations linked to their dreams and goals. Students also held discussions around the importance of self-motivation in achieving their career goals. Dream journals were used to begin recording fun and serious dreams for each student.
The “iDream iCreate” curriculum remains a part of the Litchfield School District’s intentional plan of assisting each of its students with career path exploration & individualized career planning.
