Course/Certification: Child Development Associate certification upon completion of 120 classroom hours, 480 internship hours, and passing certification test
Description: The Child Development Associate (CDA) credential builds the skills, knowledge, and confidence necessary to work with young children. Students will learn to nurture the emotional, physical, intellectual, and social development of children in their care. They will be provided with academic and hands-on training needed to prepare for a professional career in early childhood education. Students will gain knowledge and resources needed to meet the Council's requirements to submit a CDA application, pass the qualifying exam, and succeed through an on-site evaluation. This course creates a direct pathway to employment and higher education.
