Certification: Students complete a large portion of their IT Help Desk certification through Lincoln Land Community College.
This pathway covers technology concepts and trends underlying current and future developments in information technology, and fundamental principles for the effective use of computer-based information systems. The courses explore the variation and future development of application, system software, hardware, network and security. Special emphasis is placed on social and ethical issues pertaining to the web, e-commerce and distributed computing. Students study system analysis, programming and database creation using hands on exercises along with learning about career opportunities in the fast growing field of technology.
